Creekside Cabin

This stain project was a big job that required some serious expertise. Stain work can be tricky since you need the right materials and techniques, and in this case we had to strip all the old stain off first. We used a specialized stripper that we've tested against 20-30 other products to find the one that works best without damaging the wood. After applying the stripper, we power washed it off carefully, let everything dry for a couple days, then sanded the entire exterior with orbital sanders. It was pretty labor-intensive work, but that's what it took to get the right results. We also handled some siding repairs along the way. Next, we masked and sprayed all the windows and accent pieces - beams, fascia boards, everything - in Tricorn Black. After that dried, we masked off all the windows with plastic and applied 2-5 coats of log and siding stain depending on what each area needed. The client wasn't happy with how orange the original stain looked, so we added some blue tint - which is pretty advanced since you have to do it just right or it can ruin the whole batch. The clients were ecstatic with the final results and couldn't believe how good their cabin looked. They're so happy they've already booked us for their big garage shop next year.
